Creative hygiene is about clear rules, deadlines structures, decisions and hierarchies that free you up to create. It needs a strong secure organisation to do this, especially one that can encourage partnerships. Creative organisations like better led organisations are more fun to work in.
If you're not having fun the chances are you're not doing anything creative. Does this matter? Maybe not. But organisations where nobody is having any fun end up losing their market share to sweat shops in India. Ultimately, creativity is a function of leadership. If you want some more creativity, start with some real leadership first.
